Settings for posting control field

The posting control field determines whether or not you can post a flow via the automatic posting function.

You preselect whether a flow can be posted via the automatic posting function for each flow type. For each product type and for each company code you then define whether you really want to use the automatic posting function to post this flow type for this particular company code and for this product type.

Procedure

Set the posting control field to 01 for all flow types you want to post via the automatic posting function. Leave the field empty for all other flow types. Note that you also enter 01 for taxes that are generated in automatic posting.

Set the posting control field to 01 to control the product type in the company code if you want to post the flow types set above via automatic posting for the respective product type in the company code. Otherwise set it to 00.

Example

You want to post flow types 5000 (interest) and repayment (1104) for product type 04I (fixed-interest securities) in company code 0001 via the automatic posting function.

To do this, make the following settings:

Set the posting control field to 01 for flow types 5000 and 1104.

Set the posting control field to 01 for product type 04I in company code 0001.
