Assign process instruction categories

In this step, you assign the suitable process instruction categories to the following types of control recipe destinations:

Type 2, "Download to external system, initiated by R/3 Process Management"

Type 3, "Download to external system, initiated by process control"

As a result, only the assigned process instruction categories are displayed when you call up the possible entries function from the following points:

in Customizing, when you specify which process instructions are to be generated automatically for a control recipe destination.

in the master recipe and the process order, when you create process instructions for a phase to which the control recipe destination is assigned.

You can still enter a process instruction category that is not assigned to the control recipe destination. However, the system displays a warning.

If you do not assign process instruction categories to a control recipe destination, all existing process instruction categories are displayed as possible entries as usual.

You cannot assign process instruction categories to control recipe destinations of type 1 "Transfer of control recipe to R/3 PI sheet". For this type, all process instruction categories are displayed as possible entries.

Activities

1. Select the control recipe destination to which you want to assign the process instruction category.

2. Go to the screen Allocation of process instruction categories.

3. To assign process instruction categories, choose New entries.

4. Enter the process instruction category you want to assign.

5. Save the settings.
