Graphical Display

Use

Information in the MRP list and the stock/requirements list always refers to a concrete point in time: for the MRP list, to the time of the last planning run; for the stock/requirements list, to the time of the transaction call.

You can now use the graphical display to display the change in the stock situation for one or more materials over a period of time.

The graphical display has the following advantages:

Integration

The graphical display can be accessed through the collective access to the MRP list or to the stock/requirements list in the respective material list. It cannot be accessed in the individual lists.

Prerequisites

In the standard SAP System, the authorization for displaying stock values is not activated.

Features

The system displays the actual range of coverage that is calculated in the MRP list and stock/requirements list in the daily period totals display. As this calculation is only correct to the day, the system enters every value at the end of the day at midnight. The curve begins with the day of the first change involving stocks.

The x-axis represents time. As standard, the system displays a period of 12 calendar weeks (84 days) starting from the current date. You can, however, select a user-defined period.

The y-axis represents the actual range of coverage in days. As standard, the system displays a period from +20 to -20 days. You can, however, select a user-defined period. Values from outside of the period selected are not displayed.

The system displays the value that results from multiplying the sum of the available quantity and the safety stock by the moving price or the standard price from the material master. The available quantity is the quantity that is calculated in the MRP list and stock/requirements list in the daily period totals display. As this calculation is only correct to the day, the system enters every value at the end of the day at midnight.

The stock values are given in the currency for the material that is selected first in the material list. If the values for the other materials are in different currencies, these are automatically converted into this currency.

The x-axis represents time. As standard, the system displays a period of 12 calendar weeks (84 days) starting from the current date. You can, however, select a user-defined period.

The y-axis represents the value of the material in the respective national currency. The scale of the y-axis is determined by the maximum value of the materials to be entered and cannot be changed.

The system can display up to ten materials simultaneously. You can define a user-specific setting for the number of materials that can be displayed. As standard, the system displays up to five materials simultaneously.
