Assign Transaction Flow Types to Securities Flow Types

Since the position management function in the securities area is based on securities flow types, you must assign a securities flow type to each transaction type in this step. The flow types must be uniquely assigned in both directions.

Unlike the securities flow types, the transaction flow types do not contain a debit/credit indicator. This is why you must also enter the direction of the flow (inflow/outflow) when you assign the transaction flow types to the securities flow types.

Example

Transact. flow type Direction SEC flow type
0100 Purchase Outflow 1000 Purchase
0200 Sale Inflow 2000 Sale
0870 Accrued interest Inflow 8701 Accrued interest received
0870 Accrued interest Outflow 8702 Accrued interest to pay
... ... ...

Requirements

Activities

1. Choose 'New entries'.
2. Enter the transaction flow type and choose the direction (inflow or outflow).
3. Assign a suitable security flow type to this combination of transaction flow type and direction.
4. Repeat the entries for all the combinations of transaction flow types and directions, so that all possible transaction flows have exactly one security flow assigned to them.
