Since the position management function in the securities area is based on securities flow types, you must assign a securities flow type to each transaction type in this step. The flow types must be uniquely assigned in both directions.
Unlike the securities flow types, the transaction flow types do not contain a debit/credit indicator. This is why you must also enter the direction of the flow (inflow/outflow) when you assign the transaction flow types to the securities flow types.
| Transact. flow type | Direction | SEC flow type |
|---|---|---|
| 0100 Purchase | Outflow | 1000 Purchase |
| 0200 Sale | Inflow | 2000 Sale |
| 0870 Accrued interest | Inflow | 8701 Accrued interest received |
| 0870 Accrued interest | Outflow | 8702 Accrued interest to pay |
