These changes are also in Release 2.2 as of Update Level 2.2E.
The terms "summarization data" and "frozen (report) data" are used consistently. The default setting is for summarization data to be stored for every report in costing-based CO-PA. In addition, you can create frozen data from the report list using the function "Freeze data". Frozen data represents the data from a specific date. In contrast, summarization data is actualized each time you execute the report (default setting).
Different names for the same concepts were changed. The menu option "Buffer data" under the menu "Details" has been renamed "Summarization data". In addition, when you define a report, you can decide whether the system should display the current data or the most recent summarization data, and how the system should react if no summarization data exists for the report.
The term "New selection" is no longer used, since its meaning was too dependent on the context. It no longer appears on the screen in the transactions of the information system.
Only one function exists which lets you execute a report: the function "Execute". When you choose this function, the system displays a dialog box informing you of the options available (current data, data from..., frozen data from...). If only one option exists, the dialog box does not appear. If no summarization data exists yet for the selected combination of characteristics for the report, the system displays either a warning or an error message, depending on which of these was selection in the report definition.
Note that the default setting is for an error message to appear.
The user interface for Program RKEBATCH was changed. The field are now arranged differently.
The print parameters have been grouped together. The new parameter "Data" determines whether the current data, frozen data or summarization data is printed.
The choice of whether or not to freeze the report data or rebuild the summarization data are clearly indicated as optional functions.
The read mode/processing mode is gone. The default setting is for the summarization data to be actualized.
You need to adapt your existing variants to Program RKEBATCH.
The authorization protection for Transaction KE3B was also extended to cover executing Program RKEBATCH. The user needs authorization for action 66 of the object "Profitability reports".
