Scope of Functions

Leave Request Service

The following new functions are available in the Leave Request service:

• Users can now choose from several approvers. The approvers are determined either using Organizational Management (role 168) or, for individual customers, using the SAP enhancement HRPTIM06.

• When a user enters an absence that can only be a full-day or multiple-day absence, the system no longer provides fields for entering clock times or a number of hours.

• The new Used by this absence field informs the user how much entitlement the leave request will use.

Cancel Leave Request Service

The functions of this service have been significantly enhanced. Until now, users could use this service to cancel only leave requests that had already been approved. Now they are able to cancel leave requests that have not yet been processed, that is, leave requests that are still in the workflow. They can also withdraw cancellations that have not yet been processed.

The selection of data records to be cancelled has been greatly simplified by improved usability and the display of additional information. Users can also choose a different approver, as in the Leave Request service.
