Importing Characteristic Values from the Data Sheet 

Prerequisites

You have set that a bi-directional data exchange is possible in Customizing of the Specification System under Determine control data.

In Customizing for Classification under Data transfer you have defined that characteristic values can be imported.

You have selected a material, document or functional location in the selection area. For more information see Selecting Objects.

A document is open. For more information see Creating or Opening Documents.

Procedure

Select to import characteristic values into the SAP System.

Result

The system reads all the characteristic values from the data sheet according to the control information, validates them and writes the changed, permissible characteristic values into the SAP System.
