QM: Changes in the Material Master
Description
This release note describes the changes to the material master in the area
of the quality management data which are effective as of Release 3.0.
Quality management view
The quality management view has been expanded to include fields for the
following data:
- QM material authorization
With this material authorization group, you can restrict authorization to
access material-related data in the QM system.
- Catalog profile
You can assign a catalog profile to the material which is used as a default
value when a
quality notification is created or when defects are
recorded.
QM inspection data in the material master
The QM inspection data has been expanded to include fields for the
following data:
- Automatic usage decision
It is possible to make an automatic usage decision for inspection lots in
which the automatic usage decision indicator has been set for the inspection
type. Additional information can be found in the release note for the
automatic usage decision.
- Inspection upon first goods receipt only
In this field you can specify that an inspection lot is to be created for the
first partial delivery only for each purchase order item.
- Individual QM order and QM order number
The indicator for the individual QM order and the field for the number of the
order are important for processing costs. A more detailed description can be
found in the release note pertaining to the
recording of work done and quality-related costs .
Additional functions
In Release 3.0, you can also make use of the following additional
functions:
- A report to activate an inspection type
This new report permits you to activate an inspection type for all materials.
You will find this report in the menu for the material master.
- Detailed information on the inspection type
You now call up the detailed information for exactly one selected inspection
type.
