Procedure
To create a corporate action for all company codes:
1. Enter the corporate action (CA) number.

Choose Define Number Ranges for Corporate Actions in Customizing for Securities to define whether or not you want the system to assign corporate action numbers internally (CA number) or whether you want to assign the numbers externally.
2. Choose the Corporate action category.
3. Create the corporate action.
The entry screen for the corporate action category appears.

The Copy with reference function enables you to copy an existing corporate action.
4. In the area headed Basic data, enter the Key date (= date when the position changes) and a Description for the corporate action.
5. Make the required entries in the area headed Detailed data.
6. You can use the Display class data button to branch to the class data of the security. (When you have several securities, position your cursor on the ID number of the security).
7. By default, a corporate action is posted with the flow types defined for the relevant flow categories in the sample Customizing (see
When you choose Extras ® Display flow types, the screen displaying how the flow types for the corporate actions are assigned to the flow categories delivered with the system for the corporate actions (= excerpt from the Assign Flow Types to Flow Category Customizing table). If you want to use other flow types, you can define them here.
8. Save the corporate action or activate it.
9. If you have only saved the corporate action, it is assigned status 0 (planned), and you can still change or delete it.
10. If you have activated the corporate action, you can post it.
