FI-SL Rollup: Deleting Line Items When Executing or
Reversing Rollup
Description
As of Release 3.0, line items that resulted from previous rollup executions
will be deleted in the following rollup functions:
- Resetting the values using the reset set
Since the amounts are set to the value 0, the 'old' line items no longer have
meaning.
- Replacing the values (indicator 'Accumulate' initial)
Since the old values are replaced with the new values, the 'old' values no
longer have meaning.
- Reversing a rollup
After a rollup has been reversed, the 'old' line items that were used to
reverse the rollup, likewise, no longer have meaning.
Reason:
The line items are only needed to document the rollup or to reverse it at a
later date.
Since none of this information is lost through the above mentioned changes
and significant amounts of storage space can be saved with these changes, the
old line items will be deleted as described above.
