Display

Use

You can use the "Display" function to view any BOM from the SAP system.

Menu path: SAP ® Bill of material ® Display

The SAP system provides you with four options for displaying a BOM. The various options available for displaying SAP BOMs in AutoCAD are similar.

The following options are available:

® Single-level BOM

® BOM level by level

® Multi-level BOM

® Summarized BOM

If you want to display a BOM from the SAP system, the drawing must have a reference to a material master record of a BOM in the SAP system. If it does not, you will not be able to display a BOM. You will be notified accordingly and the "Display bill of material" function will be canceled.

If a reference to a material master record of a BOM in the SAP system exists, and you select one of the BOM display options, the following dialog box will appear:

Description of the dialog box:

The only thing that is different about the dialog boxes for the different types of BOM is the dialog box title. The structure of the dialog boxes is always the same. The fields displayed in the dialog box are determined by the configuration settings (see also Configuration). In the active fields of the "Header Data" section, you can enter the information required for displaying the BOM. The material number for the BOM is read from the drawing. The active fields may already contain default values from various sources:

If applicable, the values in the fields of the dialog box can be overwritten in this order.

In our example, the value "0009" in the "Factory" field was incorrect.

The following is an example of what a dialog box displaying a bill of material can look like:
