Define Default Variance Keys for Plants

You assign a variance key to the plant in this step.

Variances are calculated on the basis of the variance key shown in the order master record. This entry is defaulted as follows:

• When you create a material master record, the system proposes a default variance key for that material master through the plant.

• When you create a production order , process order, or product cost collector for this material, the system proposes a default variance key through the entry in the material master record.

Requirements

• If you want to create a separate variance key as a default value for each plant, you must first process the step Define Variance Keys.

Note

If you have already maintained costing views for your material master records, you can transfer the relevant variance keys by starting report SAPMKKS1.

Actions

Assign variance keys to the relevant plants.
