QM: QM Module - System Setting
Description
This release note describes the new features and changes that affect the
Implementation Guide and system settings for Release 3.0.
Implementation Guide
The Implementation Guide now consists of the following manuals:
- Basic settings (new)
Describes the global settings and system modifications
- Quality Planning
Contains the previously separate manuals "Master Data" and "QM in
Procurement"
- Quality Inspection (previously "Inspection
Processing")
- Quality Certificates (new)
- Quality Notifications (new)
In view of the changes made to the table views because of
new technical features, the following IMG menu options have been combined:
- The menu for the follow-up action procedure (module SIMG_CFMENUOLQWOQV2)
has been included in the menu for follow-up actions (module
SIMG_CFMENUOLQWOQV1).
- The menu for inspection types for origin (module SIMG_CFMENUOLQWOQL3) has
been included in the menu for defining the control for each origin (module
SIMG_CFMENUOLQWOQL4).
The chapters 'Work Center' and 'Production Resources and Tools' are no
longer available; instead, refer to the chapters of the same name in the
Implementation Guide for the Production Planning module.
In the Implementation Guide for Quality Management, each implementation
task is now only described once. Each task will be available for processing
when it first appears in the sequence of the chapters listed above.
Note
The notes for the modules that have been dropped are no longer available.
If you still need these notes, you should copy them from the old modules and
insert them in the notes for the new modules.
Enhanced settings
As a result of the expanded range of functions, a number of new setting
options are available.
- The following existing views have been enhanced:
- control functions for the
- The following inspection lot origins have been added:
- inspection for a delivery in sales & distribution
- recurring inspection based on the monitoring of deadlines for batches
In the presettings, each origin is assigned its
own inspection lot number range.
- The viewcluster technique has been applied to certain interdependent
views.
You can try out this technique on the control functions for the
inspection lot origin . Each origin is now linked to the
maintenance of inspection type variants.
