You can export the data definitions of the transfer file or individual structures into the programming languages C, COBOL, PL/1 and P_RPG. This conversion supports and facilitates creating a conversion program in the programming language, as you do not have to define the data manually.

• You can specify whether the generated source description in a file is to be stored and, if so, where it should be stored. You can use the file you create for the data declaration in the conversion program.

• You can edit the selection options and save them as variants, for example.
• Before Release 4.5A, to export the data structure into another programming language, you had to specify the corresponding table names. From Release 4.5A, the R/3 System automatically reads the structures of the objects so that you do not need to enter them.
