Entering Field Values

Prerequisites

You have created a data transfer file.

The possible entries in the editor are usually supported by the possible-entries help (F4).

There are two ways to enter "no" data:

Entering the RESET value initializes or deletes the value of a field (usually by entering "space")

Entering the NODATA value retains the original field value (usually by entering "/").

Procedure

Position the cursor on the structure line that you want to edit.

Choose Structure ® Change.

Enter the field values in the fields. If necessary, use the possible-entries help (F4).

Choose BDC record ® Transfer data.

Result

You have entered and saved input data in the data transfer file.
