The Data Transfer Workbench helps you to transfer data automatically from your legacy system into the R/3 System.

There are two ways to call the Data Transfer Workbench:

1. In the SAP Reference Implementation Guide (IMG), choose Cross-Application Components ® General Application Functions ® Tool Support for Initial Data Transfer. Select the data transfer object you require using the possible-entries help (F4).
2. You can call the Workbench in the IMG under "Data Transfer Workbench:<Data transfer object>". In this case, the data transfer object is often preassigned and selection using the possible-entries help (F4) does not apply.
