You use overview planning when you need to plan a number of appropriation requests, which all belong to the same plan version, at the same time.

This can be useful, for example when the appropriation requests of a corporate group are monitored in the central headquarters. An employee there is responsible for overseeing the different appropriation requests that were created by employees in different branches. This person can compare the various requests with each other, and is also able to change their plan values simultaneously. The manager in corporate headquarters can thereby obtain an overview of the costs entailed by the appropriation requests, and with this in mind, can correct the plan values of individual appropriation requests.
