The BRBACKUP, BRARCHIVE, and BRRESTORE programs issue messages in the following form:

BR<NNN><X> Message text

NNN: Sequential number of the message

X : Type of message:

The text of the message contains the following variables:

%s : a string
%d : an integer
%f : a real number in floating-point format

In most cases, the SAP utilities issue a group of messages, which will enable you to precisely analyze the error.
