Exporting Constraints, Synonyms, Sequences, Views, and Grants

This section describes the menu item Export constraints, synonyms, sequences, views, grants of the export/import menu.

With this function, you can export the definitions of the database objects listed below.

Constraints: Object requirements, such as interval of values allowed for a field

Synonyms: Secondary identifications of defined database objects, such as official synonyms for DBA views (ORACLE Dictionary views)

Sequences: Number intervals that, among other things, are used by SAP for certain network synchronization functions

Views: Selections of data (can be from different tables) according to certain criteria

Grants: Authorizations for using database objects

The function creates an import script that you can use to recreate the objects in the database, if this should become necessary. See Structure Import.

All user objects (and the system objects, when necessary) are included in the export.

Procedure
