Setting the Log Checks Option 

Use

You can make SAPDBA log its database checks and analyses.

Procedure

Depending on your context, choose:

Tablespace administration ® Log checks
 SAPDBA: Tablespace Administration

Reorganization ® Check extents and fragmentation ® Log checks
 SAPDBA: Reorganization

Leave the Log checks option set to no if you want to check the database, and the results do not have to be available at a later time. The displayed data is not recorded in the SAPDBA log files, to avoid unnecessary data. Select yes if you want to record the checks in the respective log files.

This log option is not global. It is only active in the menu in which it is set to yes.
