In order to open a ledger for direct posting, you must assign activities (for example, RFBU for postings from financial accounting) to the ledger. These activities can now be grouped together by sender application and be assigned to the ledger as an activity group. You use the 'Activity groups' function on the relevant screen to do this. If for example, you want to store in your ledger all data that is transferred from materials management, select the activity group 'Materials management' and enter a valid field grouping code. The system then automatically assigns the relevant activities.
