Pack

Use

You can use this option to pack material items into an existing handling unit or to create a new handling unit by specifying the material items/ handling units and the packaging material and assigning them to one another.

Procedure

  1. Choose Internal Warehouse Processes ® Pack.
  1. You have the following options for defining or selecting handling units:

a) Enter the number of a new or existing handling unit.

b) The system assigns a number if you skip the handling unit number field. You can see the number by printing the handling unit label.

Confirm your entries with Enter.

The handling unit you are packing will be a non-assigned handling unit. A handling unit assigned to a delivery can only be packed via the delivery header screen. In this case, you identify the delivery by using selection criteria (for example, by delivery number).

Printing labels:

With F6 Print, you can print labels if you have created your own user exit. For more information about printing labels, see Printing Using the User Exit.

  1. If you have defined a default packaging material for a warehouse, it will automatically be displayed. You can also override it.
  1. The plant, storage location, storage type, and storage bin are taken from the handling unit data if you are packing into an existing handling unit. If you create a new handling unit, you must enter them manually. You can also define your own user parameters.

To define your own user parameters, choose System ® User profile ® Own data ® Parameters. The following destination parameters are available:
