The active system status determines which business transactions you can perform with network headers, activities, and activity elements. The system status is passed from the network header to the activities and from the activities to the activity elements. Exceptions are the Account assignment locked and Locked statuses.
Created (CRTD)
Use
This is the initial system status for new networks, activities, and activity elements. The system sets this status automatically, when you create a new network.
Features
In the Created status, you can create new activities and activity elements and change the network header.
The status, for example,
Released (REL)
Use
The Released status is necessary before you can post actual costs.
Prerequisites
The network header or the activity must have the Created status.
Features
In the Released status, you can create new activities and activity elements and change the network header. If a network has Released status, new activities and activity elements also have Released status.
The status
If the corresponding Customizing setting have been made, the system triggers an availability check for material and capacities.
You cannot cancel the Released status.
Technically completed (TECO)
Use
You use this status for networks, activities, and activity elements that are completed from a technical (logistics) point of view.
Prerequisite
The network header or the activity must have the Released status.
Use
If the status is set in a network header, you cannot change the header data or create new activities. If it is set in an activity, you cannot change activity data.
The status
You can cancel the Technically completed status. In this case the system sets the Released status.

If you cancel the Technically completed status in the network header, the status is not automatically canceled in the activities and activity elements. You can cancel the status in individual activities or in all activities.
Closed (CLSD)
Use
The Closed status closes a network or an activity from both a logistics point of view and an accounting point of view.
Prerequisites
You can set the Closed status, if the network header, activity, or activity element has the Released or Technically completed status, and
Use
If the status is set in the network header, you cannot change the header data or create new activities. If it is set in an activity, you cannot change activity data.
The status
You can cancel the Closed status. The system then set the previous status (Released or technically completed).

If you cancel the Technically completed status in the network header, the status is not automatically canceled in the activities and activity elements. You can cancel the status in individual activities or in all activities.
Deletion flag (DLFL )
Use
The Deletion flag status designates networks and activities that have been flagged for deletion. This means that the objects are deleted logically, but not physically.
Prerequisites
You can the Deletion flag, if

If you set the Must not be settled or Can be settled in the settlement profile in Customizing for Product Cost Controlling, you can still set the Deletion flag status, even if the actual costs are not balanced.
Use
If the status is set in the network header, you cannot change the header data or create new activities. If it is set in an activity, you cannot change activity data.
The status
You can set the Deletion flag status in addition to every other system status. The status is passed on to activity elements. As long you have not set a deletion indicator, you can cancel the Deletion flag status.

You can prohibit account assignment to a network or lock all data in a network or activity. The following statuses are available:
Depending on the network type, you can set the Account assignment locked status either only in the network header or only in the activity
You can only set the Locked status in the network header. The status is passed on to all activities.
You can set the Account assignment locked and Locked statuses in addition to every other status except Deletion flag. The Account assignment locked and Locked statuses are not passed on to activity elements.
