Standard WBS elements do not have their own status. The status of the standard project definition is valid for all WBS elements.

You use this status to activate standard work breakdown structures. If a standard work breakdown structure has Released status, you can use it as a template for creating work breakdown structures.

Released status can be set after Created status.

In this status you can change the structure.

You cannot cancel the status.

You use this status to indicate that a standard work breakdown structure is no longer required.

You can only set the Closed status after Released status.
