You can define status numbers for every user status. However only one user status with a status number can be active at one time in a work breakdown structure or network.

If you want to have several user statuses at the same time, define the additional user statuses in the status profile without status numbers. You can always set these user statuses.

When you assign a status number to a user status, you must also specify a lowest and highest status number for that user status.

You use the lowest and highest status number to define:

• Which user status must be set first
• Which user status can then be set
• Whether user statuses can be canceled and if so, which of the previous statuses is set.
