A business transaction is an action that you perform in the system, when you execute a transaction or function.

Examples of business transactions include:

• Posting a G/L account
• Starting cost-center assessment
• Releasing a network
• Posting a goods receipt
• Making a confirmation

You can perform a business transaction, if

• At least one user status or system status permits the transaction
• No user status or system status prohibits the transaction

A user status or system status can:

• Allow a business transaction
• Allow the transaction, but generate a warning
• Prohibit the transaction

In the second case, you see a warning message while you are carrying out the business transaction. The decision as to whether to proceed with the transaction, despite the warning, is left to you.
