Making the Usage Decision 

Use

You now make the usage decision for the inspection lot that was generated at the goods receipt.

Procedure

  1. Call up the transaction as follows:

    From the Quality Management node, choose Quality Inspection ® Inspection Lot ® Usage Decision ® Record

    Transaction Code

  2. Enter the following data:

    Inspection lot

    Inspection lot number (defaulted)

  3. Choose .
  4. In the UD code field, use the possible entries help to select A1.
  5. Choose .

    6. The system determines the quality score 100 (very good) for this inspection lot.

  6. Choose Proposal on the Inspection lot stock tab page.

    7. Based on the usage decision, the system proposes the quantity of goods ready to be posted to unrestricted-use stock.

  7. Enter the following data:

  8. Choose .

    9. The system requests you to enter a comment as to why you accepted the inspection lot although you recorded defects.

  9. Enter a reason.
  10. Choose until the overview tree appears.
  11. To change the quality score manually, call up the transaction as follows:

    From the Quality Management node, choose Quality Inspection ® Inspection Lot ® Usage Decision ® Change with History

  12. Enter the following data:

  14. In the Usage Decision screen area, change the quality score to 90.
  15. Choose .
  16. Choose until the overview tree appears.
  17. To display the changes, call up the transaction as follows:

    From the Usage Decision node, choose Display

  18. Enter the number of your inspection lot (defaulted) and choose .
  19. Choose Change history.
  20. In the dialog box, select your change and choose .

    21. You now see the change.

  21. Choose twice.
  22. Choose .
  23. To check the effects on the stock, switch to the second session and choose .

    24. In the Unrestricted usage column, you see the posted quantity.

  24. To display all of the stock types, double-click on one of the stock lines.

    25. In the Blocked column, you see the quantity posted to blocked stock.

  25. Close the second session.
