Cost
behavior
In master data maintenance, you assign each
business process a cost behavior attribute.
Example
Business process "Process Production Order"
depends on the cost behavior "Number of production orders". Other possible
attributes could include:
- Number of customer orders
- Number of material procurements
- Number of work operations
Default
The standard R/3 System includes common
attributes for cost behavior:
- Activity quantity dependent
Process costs based
on the activity quantity (for example, packaging costs depend on the quantity
of items to be packaged)
- Activity quantity neutral
Process costs are
independent of activity quantity (for example, the supervisor's personnel
costs are not based on the activity quantity)
Process costs based
on the number of lots to be processed
Process costs based
on the number of items produced
