You have already used an R/3 payroll journal in an earlier release, and you want the new payroll journal to function similarly to the old one. In this case, you can convert the old form automatically. In doing this, the R/3 system splits up your old form into the new forms in the new payroll journal.
This provides you with a payroll journal that is largely compatible with the old form. Forms that are created in this way only use a few of the new functions. If you want to use all of the new functions, you must subsequently revise the payroll journal forms.
Ensure that the names of the new forms begin with Z or a special character. Otherwise your forms will be overwritten with the standard forms with the next release upgrade.
If you want to uses all the functions of the
new release, set up the new forms using the form editor as described in the
step
Set
Up Payroll Journal Forms.
The converted forms consist exclusively of individual fields. You can, however, print retroactive accounting differences for the current period on only one form if the information is in a window.
If you use the converted forms, and do not make any further modifications you must ensure that when printing the payroll journal the parameter Display retroactive accounting has the value D (Print retroactive accounting differences per period on a separate form).
