Blocking a Material for Posting 

Use

To prevent any goods movements being posted for the materials that you have selected for the periodic inventory, you should set a posting block.

Procedure

  1. Call up the transaction as follows:

    Menu Path

    From the Physical Inventory node, choose Physical Inventory Document ® Change

    Transaction Code

    MI02

  2. Enter the following data:

    Phys. inventory doc.

    First document number

    Fiscal year

    Current year

  3. Choose .
  4. Select Posting block
  5. Choose .

    6. The system issues a message in the status line confirming the change.

  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for the second physical inventory document.
  7. Choose until the overview tree appears.
