Configure LIFO Pools

Materials that you want to valuate together according to the LIFO procedure are grouped in a LIFO pool.

In this step, you define the LIFO pools for each LIFO valuation area. In addition, you can define the following for each pool:

• The description of the pool (language-dependent)

• The assignment of the pool to the index LIFO or the quantity LIFO

• The unit of measure for the pool (only relevant to the quantity LIFO procedure)

• A suggested price for evaluations (only relevant to the quantity LIFO procedure)

• The price unit for the format of the pool layer

• Two planned price ranges for evaluations (only relevant to the quantity LIFO procedure)

Activities

If you wish to use the pool formation option for LIFO valuation, you must define the LIFO pools.
