In this IMG activity, you make the time specifications for special payments with a fixed entitlement period.
You must specify the start and duration of the
Entitlement period for each special payment.
For the start time, you should select the payroll period from which the
entitlement quota for special payments is set up.
The duration corresponds to the number of payroll periods in which the quota
continues to increase.
You must define one or two Payment times for each special payment. To do this, you should specify the number of periods to be accounted from the start period to the payment time. If you have more than two payment times, you must define several special payments.
You must also specify the payroll period in which the valuation basis for special payment are to be generated. You also need to specify the number of periods for which accounting is to be performed from the start period until valuation begins.
You can specify a waiting period for new hires for each payment time. This is the period in days from the date on which an employee is hired, within which the employee is not entitled to the payment. You can also specify a general waiting time that applies to both payment times.
You must also specify the Advance condition. By this we mean the payment of a quota which will only be attained in the future. If a payment time is before the end of the entitlement period, you can use the advance condition to decide whether only the quota reached at present is to be paid or also the entitlement which will be reached by the end of the entitlement period.
You should already have defined the type of entitlement period for all recurring special payments.
The standard R/3 system contains sample entries for the model wage types; please refer to these when making your settings.
The settings you make here apply to all employees who are entitled to this special payment.
Action-triggered special payments and recurring payments with an entitlement period that depends on time of service are not processed in this step.
