Use
You can use existing WBS elements and activities as templates to create other WBS elements and activities. You can store project elements that you use as templates frequently in the Templates screen area. As templates you can use WBS elements and activities that come from
For information on how to copy project objects to the Templates screen area, see

Choose
or Create in the context menu of the table area.
On the left-hand side of the screen a separate Templates window appears, in which there are the groups.
Here you can find all possible project objects (Project definitions, WBS elements, networks, activities etc.). For information on how to create new objects, see
Here you store existing operative project elements (WBS elements and activities) that you want to use as templates.
Here you store standard project definitions, standard WBS elements and standard networks that you want to use as templates.
Here you store WBS elements and activities from simulation versions that you want to use as templates.
There are various options for copying objects from the templates to the current project:
Using Drag & Drop

If you use drag & drop to create project objects, the new object is always subordinate to the object it is positioned after in the project hierarchy.
Using Double-Click or the Context Menu
The following table describes how you create project objects by copying with a double-click or by using the context menu.
From the Projects group

What You Should Know |
Create WBS element |
WBS element has been selected in the table area |
Double-click on the WBS element that is to serve as the template Or select a WBS element and choose Create in the context menu |
Copies the WBS element and inserts the copy at the selected position. You can insert the new WBS element at the same level as the selected WBS element or below it in the hierarchy. Assignment to the WBS element (for example, long texts, Ps texts, milestones etc.) are copied with the WBS element. See also: Including WBS Structures |
Create Network |
WBS element or activity has been selected in the table area |
Double-click on the network that is to serve as the template or In the context menu choose Create. |
Copies the network and inserts the copy at the selected position. The new network is subordinate to the selected WBS element or network in the hierarchy.
You can choose whether assignments to activities (such as long texts, PS texts, milestones etc.) are copied with the network. However relationships are not copied. |

Effect |
Create WBS element by copying standard WBS element |
WBS element has been selected in the table area |
Double-click on the standard WBS that is to serve as the template or Or select the standard WBS element and choose Create in the context menu |
Copies the standard WBS element and inserts the new WBS element at the selected position. You can insert the new WBS element at the same level as the selected WBS element or below it in the hierarchy. Assignment to the WBS element (for example, long texts, Ps texts, milestones etc.) are copied with the WBS element. See also: Including WBS Structures |
Create network by copying standard network |
WBS element has been selected in the table area |
Double-click on the standard network that is to serve as the template Or select the standard network and choose Create in the context menu |
Uses the standard network as a template to create new activities for the selected WBS element. |
From the Simulations group

Action in Templates Screen Area |
Effect |
Create WBS element from simulation |
WBS element has been selected in the table area |
Double-click on the WBS element that is to serve as the template Or select a WBS element and choose Create in the context menu |
Copies the WBS element from the simulation and inserts the copy at the selected position. You can insert the new WBS element at the same level as the selected WBS element or below it in the hierarchy. Assignment to the WBS element (for example, long texts, PS texts, milestones etc.) are copied with the WBS element. |
If you have not stored project data in the templates or require more templates, you can access other templates from the database by choosing Create with other template in the context menu.
