Define Differing Payment

This section provides information on how an alternative rate of payment is processed in the standard SAP Payroll system.

An alternative rate of payment can be specified in the following Time Management infotypes, so that your employees can be paid appropriately for special tasks performed:

Attendances (2002)

Substitutions (2003)

Availability (2004)

Overtime (2005)

Employee Remuneration Information (2010)

Note: The data stored in infotype 2010, Employee Remuneration Information , is not processed in the personnel calculation rules described below, but separately in personnel calculation rule X930.

The information on an alternative rate of payment is processed in Payroll using the following personnel calculation rules in personnel calculation schema XT00:

X012 - calculate valuation bases for alternative payment

XALP - calculate higher valuation bases

Processing structure

The system uses tables ZL, IT and ALP to determine valuation bases.
Time wage types that have already been determined are stored in table ZL. These include the wage types stored in the infotypes with specifications on an alternative rate of payment. These wage types are characterized by what is known as the ALP split.
Table ZL is moved into table IT and during this procedure the system generates records with wage types /001 (valuation basis 1).
The ALP splits refer to table ALP. All data on records which specify an alternative rate of payment (e.g. rate) is listed here.
