Working with History: Example

In this example you maintain a routing with history.

  1. You create a routing with change number A7. The corresponding change master record is valid from 1/5. Your routing contains the following objects:
  2. Header

    Operation 10

    Operation 20

The system creates a single change status for each object. This status is valid from 1/5 (see graphic below).

  3. You change the routing with change number A10. The corresponding change master record is valid from 10/5. You assign a new material component to an operation and change following objects:
  4. Header

    Operation 10

The system creates three new change statuses (see graphic below).

  5. You change the routing with change number A5. The corresponding change master record is valid from 5/5. You change the following objects:
  6. Header

    Operation 20

  7. You display the routing for the key date 7/5 (see graphic above). The change status that is valid on the key date is displayed. Consequently you do not see the material component.
