Configuration 
You enter the defaults for structure planning in the project profile. You can change the settings in structure planning for further processing.

You specify:
- The scheduling scenario: There are three different scenarios. Top-down and Bottom-up are predefined scenarios, whose parameters are determined by the system. These parameters cannot be changed. You do not have to edit or check the scheduling parameters. On the other hand you have to maintain all the scheduling yourself in the Free Scheduling scenario. For more information, refer to the Scheduling section under
Settings: Options
The Scheduling method for WBS structure: You must specify planning methods for planning using both basic and forecast dates. This only refers to the work breakdown structure and not to the activities. Changes apply only for the current session and are not saved in the project profile.
Scheduling parameters for activities: You can change settings for the activities here, for example, the scheduling type. The activity parameters are taken from the network profile. Changes apply only for the current session and are not saved in the project profile.
- Network default value
: Here you can change the settings for networks , for instance the network type. The parameters are originally taken from the network profile. Changes apply only for the current session and are not saved in the project profile.
- Assign new activities to
: If you create an activity for a WBS element, the system creates a network in the background. In the control data, you specify how the activities that you create for the WBS elements are assigned to the network. Activities are assigned either to:
- All networks assigned to the project. When you create an activity a list of networks in the project appears, from which you select one.
- The network for the WBS element. The system creates a new network for each new activity entered for a WBS element.
- In general to a new network. The system creates a new network for each new activity entered for a WBS element.

You maintain
- Profiles and parameters for calling up the planning table in both tabular and graphic form as well as for creating capacity reports.
- Dates for the evaluation period.
These menu paths are only available if capacity requirements exists for the selected WBS element.
