Moving Project Objects 

Use

You can change the assignments of objects in a project by moving the objects to another position in the project.

You can move project objects

You can only move one project object at a time with drag and drop. These objects can be WBS elements, activities or activity elements.

You can cut and paste several project objects at once. You can use cut & paste for WBS elements and activities. As of Release 4.5B, you cannot use cut & paste for activity elements.

Activities

When you move activities, you reassign these activities together with their activity elements and milestones to another WBS element.

If you move a WBS element , you reassign this WBS element together with its subordinate WBS elements within the project hierarchy. The WBS element is inserted in the table area above the target WBS element and in the project hierarchy to the left of the target WBS element.
