Use
In customer projects, for instance made-to-order production, the customer is usually charged for services, as soon as certain phases of the project have been finished.
You add dates to billing plans by using milestones in activities or WBS elements. When the milestone event is reached, the system copies the actual dates of the milestone to the billing plan and starts the billing process.
There are two principally different ways of copying dates from milestones to the billing plan:
The dates from all milestones, which have the Sales document date indicator set, are copied from the network, which is automatically created during assembly processing, to the billing plan for the assembly item in the sales document.
You can manually define milestones and consequently dates to be copied to the billing plan. In this case the milestones must also have been chosen for the billing plan previously, the sales order must have the item category TAO.
