Printing Shop Papers in the Background

You can print shop papers in the background by creating print indicators for networks. Within background job scheduling, you can specify that a background printing report is to be started at regular intervals. This report initiates the printing of lists.

In Customizing, you can set up the parameters for printing in the background by creating print jobs for activating print indicators.

Prerequisites

The same prerequisites as for directly printing shop papers must be met.

Procedure

To create a background printing indicator, proceed as follows:

  1. Call up the network header.
  2. Select the menu options Network ® Print ® Print settings ® Print mode.
A dialog box is displayed in which you can select a print mode.
  3. Select background processing. Choose Continue.
The system automatically creates a print indicator when you save the network.

The system only prints one original printout per network, even if you have created several print indicators.
