A standard network can have several alternatives. You can create alternatives for different usages or validity dates.
You can use an alternative to:
- Define different network structures for planning your processes. You can create different activities or other relationships in the alternative, for example.
- Specify a certain type of usage or processing. For example, if changing directives will alter the process of your standard network on a specific date, you can define an alternative.
Each time you create an alternative to a standard network the system automatically assigns it a number. You can overwrite this with an alphanumeric key.
