Entering WBS Element Numbers 

Use

If you are working with very large projects and need to create a lot of elements with complex project numbers, the system can help you enter the numbers.

Prerequisites

You have defined a special character in the Project System IMG to act as the input help.

Features

If you enter the special character in the WBS element field in your project, the system copies the number of the higher-level WBS elements into the field. If the new WBS element is the first one in the project hierarchy, the system copies the project definition.

Then you only need to add to the number so that it is different from the one copied. You can also use the input help in conjunction with a project coding mask. In this case, you do not need to enter the separator when adding to the WBS element number.

You have specified the character @ as an input help. In the work breakdown structure, you insert another WBS element under the WBS element A-123-LDZ-10 and only type "20.
