In this step, you define which hourly or daily rates are to be formed during payroll for individual persons. You must define the valuation bases to be used for each wage type included in payroll via infotype 0008, Basic Pay .
Wage types that are not entered in the Basic Pay infotype cannot be used to create valuation bases.
In standard
personnel calculation rules X010 and X013, two hourly rates are
created in technical wage types /001 and /002. Calculation rule X010 adds up
the period values (e.g. salary) for an employee.
Calculation rule X013 divides this total by the flat rate for hours in a
period (this is given in Basic remuneration divisor
field of the Basic Pay infotype). The values for employees
paid by the hour are not divided since hourly rates are already recorded for
them.
If you only need one or two hourly rates and the existing formulas meet your requirements, you can omit steps 2 to 7.
