Logical
Views
In this section, you make the settings for
editing wage types in logical views.
There are three types of logical
view:
- Logical views for Valuation
bases
For each wage type
in wage type groups that are assigned to this kind of
logical view, you
can specify a statement wage type, a valuation wage type and the percentage
that is to be included in the valuation basis. You specify this for each wage
type and up to two derived wage types.
- Logical views for
Averages
For each wage type
in wage type groups that are assigned to this kind of view, you can specify
what proportion of the fields amount,
number, and Amount per unit is included in the basis
for calculating average value.
- Logical Views for Cumlations,
processing classes and evaluation classes
For each wage type
in a wage type group that assigned to this kind of logical view, you can
specify cumulations, processing classes, and evaluation classes. You can also
link customer processing classes and customer evaluation classes to a view of
this kind. You can then use the view for wage type maintenance.
The following settings are possible:
- You can add new wage types to wage type groups
and modify existing assignments.
- You can check and change individual logical
views.
Recommendation
Using the function
Execute, you can edit wage types directly that are assigned to a
logical view. We recommend, however, that you carry out wage type maintenance
in the relevant steps in the Implementation Guide (IMG). This ensures that the
various dependencies within Payroll are taken into
consideration. You should only use the Execute
function to test your changes to the logical views supplied by SAP.
