In this step, you define the employee absence times to be valuated in an off-cycle payroll run.
To do this, you assign an off-cycle reason to the absence types in question. At the start of the off-cycle payroll run, the administrator enters the off-cycle reason. The system displays for selection all the employee's absences for the absence type that is assigned to the specified off-cycle reason. Absences that are assigned to a reason other than off-cycle are not displayed.
You want to pay your employees in advance for leave. The leave periods are entered in the Paid leave absence type.
To do this, you assign the off-cycle reason Leave payment with daily payroll to the absence type Paid leave.
You have set up the absence types used in off-cycle payroll.
