Create Wage Type Catalog

In this step, you can create additional secondary wage types if you have enterprise-specific requirements that are not met by the secondary wage types supplied in the standard system. To do this, you use the wage type copier to copy SAP model wage types to the customer name range. You then adjust the copied wage types to meet your requirements.

The following name range is available for your customer secondary wage types:

Recommendation

Use only the customer name range for customer wage types. Do not copy any wage types to the SAP name range.

Activities

1. Choose Copy in the Wage Type Maintenance dialog box.
The Copy Wage Type screen appears.
2. In the OWTy (original wage type) field, enter the model wage types that you want to copy and choose Enter.
3. In the CWTy field, (customizing wage type), enter the customer wage type name for your new wage type and choose Continue.
4. Modify the long and short texts of your customer wage types in line with your requirements.
5. To edit the copied wage type in languages other than the logon language:
a) Flag the wage type and choose Other languages.
The Maintain Wage Type Texts in Other Languages dialog box appears. Here, all existing languages for the wage type are displayed. The wage type in the logon language is flagged. You have the following alternatives:
b) Choose Transfer.
6. Flag all wage types that you want to copy and choose Copy.
A list of copied wage types appears in which the changes in all the affected tables are logged.
