Maintain Evaluation Classes and Their Specifications

In this step, you can:

Create evaluation classes and their specifications

Create new specifications for existing evaluation classes

Standard Settings

The evaluation classes that are provided with the standard system are stored in the SAP name range from 01 to 17. Evaluation classes 18 to 20 are available for customer entries.

Recommendation

We recommend that you create new specifications in the customer name range only. This ensures that your entries are not overwritten at the next release upgrade.

We recommend that you do not delete or modify any evaluation classes in the standard system, since this can lead to errors in the Payroll process.

Activities

To create a new evaluation class:

1. Check which entries are still free in the customer name range.

2. From the Dialog structure, call the relevant subdialog by double clicking Evaluation classes

3. Choose New entries

4. Enter the number and name of the new evaluation class.

5. Save your entries.

To create new specifications for evaluation classes:

1. Flag the relevant evaluation class.

2. From the Dialog structure, call the relevant subdialog by double clicking Specifications processing classes.

3. Choose New entries.

4. Enter a key and a description for the new specification.

5. Save your entries.
