Defining Data Elements

Use

The meaning of key figures and particularly their presentation in the analyses depends on data elements whose texts are taken from the Data Dictionary. You must map differing key figures based on content using the corresponding data elements if you want to update these as self-defined value or quantity key figures in the Plant Maintenance Information System.

There are two data elements in the system that you can use as references to define your own data elements:

PMIS: Reference for freely definable value and cost key figures

PMIS: Reference for freely definable quantity and key figures in time

Copying a Data Element

  1. Choose the menu bar sequence Tools ® ABAP Workbench ® Development ® Dictionary on the SAP initial screen.
  2. This brings you to the initial screen for the Dictionary.

  3. Select Data element and enter:

DCUSTCOSTS
