The perishables planning list is the basis of all the functions available in perishables planning. It contains an easy-to-read overview of all the articles to be processed in a particular environment and all the key data pertaining to these articles.

You can use the perishables planning list for the following purposes:

• Procurement and issue
• Procurement only
• Issue only

• The perishables planning list is required for subsequent activities involved in the processing of perishables.

• You can branch from displaying the list to other functions for procuring and distributing produce. You can, for example, change existing purchase orders.

• There is a link to Pricing and the Perishables Information System.

• When you post the perishables planning list, possible follow-on documents are store orders, allocation tables or collective purchase orders.

• The articles must be listed in the site for which you are planning.

• A vendor master record must be maintained in the system for the vendors involved.

• If you want to use the Perishables Information System, you must have activated updating of perishables information structure S160 in the article type identification of the article type.

• The perishables planning list contains a line with all the relevant input fields and information for each article selected on the initial screen and for each vendor from which you can order the article.

• You can plan produce and calculate prices for each line in the list.

• The layout of the list differs depending on the processing method selected on the initial screen: For example, the field for entering the net price is only ready for input if you selected Purchase order as the processing method.

• In the standard configuration of SAP Retail, the perishables planning list contains the following tab pages:

• Requirements Planning

• Overview

• Information

• Delivery phase

• Setting

• You can arrange the lines in the perishables planning list by the following criteria:

• Article (or variant)
• Vendor
• Merchandise Categories

• You can also search for a particular character string in the list.

• You can set a filter to reduce the information displayed and make the list easier to read. If you set a filter on one tab page, this is used in the others.

• The perishables planning list can be updated at any time. This is useful if, for example, you want to adjust the field content taken from the info structure following posting.

• The purchase price and net purchase price for each vendor and article are displayed for your site in the perishables planning list. The purchase price entered is adopted in the purchase order in the case of warehouse orders and direct deliveries (third party processing). The net purchase price (the purchase price minus discount) is generally the price negotiated.

• The system highlights the lines in which you entered order quantities.

• You can simulate the posting transaction to test the settings. The system generates a detailed log of the data and messages produced in the last run.

• When you save, the system posts and generates the required documents. It deletes the entries in the Order quantity column and displays the quantities ordered in the Purchase orders column.
  If you enter a new quantity in the Order quantity field and save again, the system creates new purchase orders for the quantities entered last.

• The system records the details of all postings (posting time and user) in a confirmation log.

3. Enter the required order quantities and prices in the perishables planning list, and make sure that all the order quantities and prices you do not require are deleted.

5. Choose Save.

To avoid unnecessary runtimes when the system is preparing the perishables planning list, please note the following:

• Create small assortment lists.
• Use mixed assortment lists.
• If possible, avoid calculating mixed prices.
