Maximum wait
for conversion (in days)
Definition
Number of days the converter waits to start the
conversion.
Procedure
You can also set up special times by entering
Maximimum wait period for conversion (hours, minutes, seconds).
The sytsem adds the entry of both
times.
Examples
If you want to start the conversion 4 hours and
30 minutes later enter the following:
- Maximale Wartezeit für
Konvertierung (Stunden): 06:30:00
- Maximum wait period for conversion
(hours):
04:30:00
Dependencies
Conversion of
documents
Before conversion starts the following steps
are executed automatically:
- The documents to be converted are
locked.
- The system looks for a free converter and
locks it from other users.
If one of the required objects is not available
all other objects are unlocked. A time is randomaly selected (abnormal time).
The wait period is increased by each run and the steps are executed
again.
Conversion of
BOMs
Before a conversion begines the following steps
are executed automatically:
- When the transformation matrices are written
into the SAP System the system each assembly of the BOM as a single level. If
an assembly cannot be locked the system attempts to lock the next
node.
- The system looks for a free converter and
locks it from other users.
After the wait period the system attempts again
to lock any unlocked documents again.
2End and
cancellation of the conversion
The conversion
attempts are repeated so long until one of the following situations
occurs:
- All objects are locked and the conversion is
executed.
- The following time has expired, that is, run
out:
In the last case the
conversion is cancelled and an error message is written in the application
log.
Note
If you make no entries the conversion attempt
is only cancelled after the conversion has actually started.
