Processing Decentral Deliveries with the R/2-R/3 Link 

After decentral deliveries have been created either automatically or manually from the communication documents that were received in the R/3 Shipping system, it is necessary to process these deliveries.

This is initiated by posting goods issue in the decentralized R/3 Shipping System. Confirmation occurs automatically using output control, if the sending of output in batch has been scheduled. Otherwise the deliveries need to be confirmed manually.

The goods issue posting confirms for each delivery the completion of all shipping activities in the R/3 Shipping System. You will find the status Completed in the document flow for the decentralized delivery if confirmation has been carried out successfully.

Processing Decentralized Deliveries

Decentralized deliveries are edited in the same way as deliveries in a central R/3 System.

You can choose between the following processing types:

The deliveries can be grouped and processed together in the decentralized R/3 System. However, the group data cannot be transferred to the central sales and distribution system.

Confirming Decentralized Deliveries Manually

To confirm a decentralized delivery manually, proceed as follows:

  1. In the SAP menu, select Logistics ® Logistics Execution ® Internal Whse Processes ® R/2-R/3 Link.

    2. You see the screen R/2-R/3 Link.

  2. Choose Communication ® Shipping ® Confirm comm.doc.

    3. You reach the Selection Program for Issuing Output screen.

  3. Enter the number of the decentralized delivery that you want to report in the Key field. You can also enter a number interval. You must include the leading zeros when you enter the delivery numbers.

    4. Do not change the entries in the remaining fields.

  4. Choose Program ® Execute.

You receive the message <n> outputs were processed in total.

The decentralized delivery is confirmed in the sales and distribution system.
